Legend (legend.trade) combines spot trading with perpetual markets and a social layer inside one web terminal. This review sets out what is documented publicly about its features, fees and referral programme, and is explicit about the parts — including its trading fee — that are Not publicly confirmed.

Who should use Legend

Legend suits traders who specifically want spot and perpetual (leveraged) markets available from the same account and interface, rather than using a separate venue for leverage. Perpetuals here run through Hyperliquid, alongside Solana spot trading, according to the platform's chain coverage.

It also fits traders drawn to a social layer around trading activity — the platform includes follow features similar in spirit to other social-trading products in this category — combined with the ability to size up with leverage when a spot idea has conviction behind it.

Experienced traders comfortable with liquidation risk and comfortable operating without a confirmed published fee schedule are the more natural audience here, rather than people looking for a simple, transparent-cost first product.

Who should avoid Legend

Beginners should be cautious. Perpetual markets add liquidation risk on top of ordinary market risk: a leveraged position can be forcibly closed at a loss if the market moves against it by enough to erode the margin, independent of whether the underlying thesis was directionally correct.

Anyone who wants clarity on costs before trading should also be cautious, since Legend's trading fee schedule is Not publicly confirmed at the time of writing. Traders who need to compare an exact fee percentage against rivals such as Axiom (1%) or Padre Terminal (0.8%) cannot currently do that for Legend from public sources.

Traders who specifically need mobile execution should also check current availability directly, since mobile support for Legend is Not publicly confirmed.

Chains and coverage

  • Solana — spot trading
  • Hyperliquid — perpetual markets

This is a narrower chain footprint than multi-chain terminals such as GMGN, BullX or Padre Terminal, which also cover several EVM chains. Legend's positioning trades breadth of chain coverage for the combination of spot and perpetual markets in one product, which is a distinct feature rather than a coverage gap in itself, but it does mean EVM-chain tokens are outside its scope based on currently published information.

Fees explained

Legend does not publish a clear trading-fee percentage in the materials TraderView reviewed. This is Not publicly confirmed, and any specific number circulating elsewhere should be checked directly against Legend's own site before being treated as fact.

Spot trades on Legend will still carry Solana network fees and any priority fee paid for faster inclusion, separate from whatever platform fee Legend charges. Perpetual trading through Hyperliquid typically involves its own fee structure (for example maker/taker fees and funding rates that periodically transfer value between long and short positions) — TraderView has not verified Legend's specific pass-through of Hyperliquid's fee structure and treats those specifics as unconfirmed for this review.

Funding rates in particular are a cost (or occasionally a credit) unique to perpetual markets that spot traders do not encounter: holding a leveraged position open across funding intervals can add up regardless of whether the price moves in your favor.

Referral benefit

TraderView holds a referral link for Legend and may earn a commission if you sign up through it. There is no publicly documented user-facing benefit — no discount, fee rebate or cashback — attached to that link or to any Legend referral programme that TraderView could verify. Do not assume a discount exists simply because a referral link does.

Getting started

StepWhat happens
1. Open the web appGo to legend.trade and open the web-based terminal.
2. Create the in-app walletLegend provisions a non-custodial wallet; back up any recovery phrase offline before funding it.
3. Fund with Solana assetsDeposit SOL or supported tokens to trade spot markets.
4. Decide spot vs. perpetualChoose whether you are trading spot tokens on Solana or opening a leveraged position via Hyperliquid perpetuals.
5. Set position size and, for perps, leverageFor perpetual positions, choose leverage deliberately — higher leverage narrows the price move needed to trigger liquidation.

Funding and withdrawal

Funding is a standard non-custodial flow: send assets to the wallet address Legend generates for you, then withdraw by sending out to any address you control. Because perpetual markets run through Hyperliquid, opening or closing a leveraged position may involve moving margin between the Solana-side spot wallet and the Hyperliquid venue — check the platform's current flow for exactly how that transfer works before relying on it for time-sensitive trades.

Custody and keys

Legend uses a non-custodial in-app wallet model, meaning you hold the keys rather than Legend holding funds on your behalf. As with every non-custodial product covered here, that shifts backup responsibility onto the user: losing the seed phrase or recovery material generally means losing access permanently.

TraderView did not find publicly confirmed third-party audit documentation for Legend's wallet or smart-contract infrastructure. This is consistent with most products in this category and should be read as an open question rather than a red flag specific to Legend.

Copy trading

Legend includes copy-trading and follow features as part of its social layer, according to the platform's own feature list. Because Legend also offers leveraged perpetuals, copying a followed wallet here carries a specific extra risk beyond spot-only copy trading: if the wallet you follow uses leverage, mirroring its position size without matching its margin and risk management can produce a very different, and potentially much worse, outcome for your account.

Limit orders

Limit orders are listed among Legend's published features. For perpetual positions opened via Hyperliquid, a limit order sets the price at which you are willing to enter or exit a leveraged position, but it does not remove liquidation risk once a position is open — a limit order controls entry and exit price, not the ongoing margin requirement of an open leveraged trade.

Execution and MEV

MEV protection for Legend is Not publicly confirmed in the materials TraderView reviewed. Spot trades on Solana are subject to the same general sandwich-attack dynamics described for other Solana venues in this category unless Legend documents a specific protected routing path.

Perpetual execution through Hyperliquid operates on a different venue with its own order-matching and settlement design, distinct from spot AMM-style trading, and MEV considerations there are not directly comparable to spot-market sandwich risk.

Mobile and desktop

Legend is primarily a web terminal. Mobile app availability is Not publicly confirmed at the time of writing, so traders who need to manage leveraged positions from a phone — which matters given how quickly a leveraged position can move toward liquidation — should verify current mobile support directly rather than assume it exists.

Known limitations

  • Published trading fee schedule is Not publicly confirmed.
  • Mobile app availability is Not publicly confirmed.
  • MEV-protection details are Not publicly confirmed.
  • Smaller published user base than the top-ranked terminals in this category.
  • Leverage on the perpetuals side introduces liquidation risk that spot-only platforms do not carry.
  • No independent third-party security audit documentation is publicly confirmed.
  • No user-facing referral discount, fee rebate or cashback is publicly documented for Legend, despite an active affiliate programme existing on the operator side.
  • Cross-margin or transfer mechanics between the Solana spot side and the Hyperliquid perpetuals side are not spelled out in public materials, beyond the general description that perpetual positions are opened via Hyperliquid.

Security record

TraderView found no confirmed report of a platform-level exploit affecting Legend in official channels at the time of writing. This reflects the absence of a confirmed public incident and is not a security certification, particularly given the lack of publicly confirmed audit documentation.

The addition of leveraged perpetuals means the largest practical risk for most Legend users is not a platform hack but position-level risk: liquidation from adverse price moves or from underestimating funding costs on an open leveraged position.

Two categories of risk are worth separating clearly, because they are frequently confused in casual discussion of this platform. The first is custody and infrastructure risk: whether Legend's own wallet code, smart contracts or backend could be compromised, which is the category no independent audit currently speaks to. The second is market and leverage risk: whether a trader's own position gets liquidated because of price movement or funding costs, which is a consequence of using perpetuals at all, on Legend or anywhere else, and is not evidence of any platform-level weakness. TraderView treats these as distinct, and readers evaluating Legend's security record should do the same rather than reading a liquidation loss as a sign of a platform exploit.

As with the other non-custodial products in this category, the most common real-world loss event is not a sophisticated breach of the platform itself but a phishing site or fraudulent link imitating legend.trade. Because Legend combines a wallet with leveraged trading, a compromised key on Legend can be more costly than on a spot-only platform, since an attacker who gains control of the wallet could also open or manipulate leveraged positions rather than only draining spot balances.

What happens if you lose your device or your key

Because Legend's wallet is non-custodial, losing the device it is installed on, or losing the seed phrase generated at setup, generally means permanent loss of access to whatever the wallet holds -- there is no customer-support password reset of the kind a custodial exchange account offers. This is standard for every non-custodial product reviewed on this site, but it carries extra weight on Legend specifically because an open leveraged position left unattended after a lost device cannot be adjusted or closed manually, and it would remain exposed to funding costs and liquidation risk until the position is closed by the platform's own liquidation mechanism or the market moves back in its favor.

The only mitigation is preparation before anything goes wrong: back up the seed phrase offline in more than one secure location, never store it in a note-taking app or cloud photo library, and treat any message asking you to re-enter or confirm your seed phrase as a phishing attempt, since a legitimate platform does not need to ask for it after initial setup.

Referral benefit, in more depth

To be specific about what is and is not confirmed: TraderView's Legend link is an affiliate link, meaning TraderView may be paid a commission by Legend for referred signups. That is a fact about TraderView's incentive, not about any benefit to the reader. No fee discount, rebate, priority access, or other user-facing perk tied to that link, or to any other referral link for Legend, has been confirmed in Legend's own public materials. Readers should not sign up through any referral link, ours or anyone else's, on the expectation of a benefit that has not been documented anywhere official.

Copy trading, leverage and known limitations in combination

Legend's copy-trading feature and its perpetual markets sit close together in the product, and that combination is worth calling out as its own limitation. Most copy-trading tools in this category, such as GMGN's or Fomo's, only ever mirror spot trades, where the worst case is losing the amount put into the position. On Legend, if a followed wallet is trading Hyperliquid perpetuals, mirroring it means mirroring leveraged exposure, where the worst case includes forced liquidation and a faster, larger loss than the equivalent spot mistake. Nothing in Legend's public materials distinguishes copy-following a spot wallet from copy-following a leveraged one, so a trader relying on the copy-trading feature should manually check whether the wallet being followed uses leverage before assuming the risk is spot-like.

Worked fee example

Because Legend's trading fee is not publicly documented, TraderView cannot produce a worked dollar example using a confirmed platform fee percentage without inventing a number. Instead, here is the structure of costs a Legend user should expect to check for before trading, split between spot and perpetual activity.

Trade typeCost components to checkConfirmed for Legend?
Spot (Solana)Platform fee + Solana network fee + priority fee + slippagePlatform fee: Not publicly confirmed; others: variable by market conditions
Perpetual (Hyperliquid)Platform fee + Hyperliquid trading fee + funding rate + liquidation riskNone of these figures are publicly confirmed for Legend specifically

Before opening any position, especially a leveraged one, check Legend's in-app order confirmation screen for the actual fee, estimated funding rate and liquidation price it will display for that specific trade, rather than relying on a fixed percentage that has not been published anywhere official.

Final verdict

Legend scores 7.3/10 on our weighted formula. It earns its place for best for social trading and perpetual markets, but published fee schedule is not publicly confirmed is a real constraint. Nothing here implies that trading on Legend is safe or profitable; on-chain trading can lose the full value of your position.
